Ainderby Myers Farm is steeped in history and surrounded by pleasant pastureland, with splendid views of the surrounding hillside providing a stunning atmosphere. This ancient Manor House is Grade II listed and can be traced back to the Doomsday Book and was once farmed by the monks of Jervaulx Abbey.
Ainderby Myers is still a working farm, but it now has a holiday wing for guests. It provides excellent accommodation and is an ideal base for walkers. Fishing and pony trekking are also available by arrangement.
In the mornings you can enjoy a Yorkshire breakfast made from local produce in the farmhouse dining room. Later you may wish to relax in the guest lounge - which has a piano and harmonium. After lunch you may choose to walk the fields and wander along the stream, observing local wildlife. And you can even make yourself a picnic in the guest kitchen to take with you.
There's a local inn just 2 miles away, and nearby attractions include the Bowes Museum, Brymor Ice Cream, Castle Bolton, Hawes Creamery, Middleham Castle, Richmond Castle, and Tennants Auction House. All of these and many more can be found on Ordnance Survey maps, putting you on the right road to enjoy Herriot Country.
