This collection of luxurious cottages is like a small hamlet, and each cottage provides a very high level of facilities in a delightful setting. They are located in the peaceful village of Wrelton which lies just outside Pickering and very close to the North York Moors National Park. The accommodation comes in a range of sizes - from a one-bedroom cosy cottage, ideal for a couple, all the way through to two spacious and airy houses which each sleep 10 in total comfort.
Beech Farm Cottages takes their name from the working farm buildings (some dating back to the 18th century) that they have been sensitively converted from. The cottages have won many awards including the ETB’s “England for Excellence”, Gold awards from VisitEngland, and they are also four-time winners of the YTB’s “Holiday Cottage of the Year”
The eight cottages are positioned around three sides of a courtyard leading through a walled garden to green fields beyond. As well as the generous facilities inside the cottages, guests can also make use of the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool spa, and conservatory, as well as enjoying the pond and barbecue area in the walled garden. For kids there’s an adventure playground and a paddock. Animals on the farm (and kids will love them) include two llamas, a horse, ponies, Polly the cat, duck, chickens, and koi carp in the pond.
Nearby Pickering is a typical North Yorkshire market town, with its own castle. It’s superbly placed for trips to Whitby and Scarborough on the coast, to the historic city of York, or for trips out to the beautiful wild moorland of the National Park.
