Black Sheep Brewery - Ripon

The renowned Black Sheep Brewery can be found in the charming market town of Masham in the Yorkshire Dales, and it's a perfect place for a fascinating and different kind of day out. Paul Theakston, 5th generation of the well known Masham-based brewing family, founded the brewery in the early 90s, and since then has enjoyed great success, watching the company flourish into a producer of some 19 million pints a year and winner of many awards for its ales.

The addition of a visitor centre with bistro and baa...r has turned the brewery into a major visitor attraction, offering 'shepherded' tours of the brewery where guests can experience first hand, the traditional brewing methods, before sampling the many fantastic ales in the bar and enjoying quality fayre made from Black Sheep beers and locally sourced produce.

The Sheepy Shop is an ideal place to pick up 'ewe-nique' gifts and to purchase a true taste of Yorkshire to take away with you.

The venue provides a unique location for events and has played host to a wide variety, including weddings, parties, corporate events and product launches. The brewery also hosts a range of its own events throughout the year, such as the Boots and Beer Walking Festival, which helps to raise money for local charities.
