The site is surrounded by mature gardens with a children’s play area, barbeque and picnic area and dog walking area. Close by are Brimham Rocks, Harrogate, York, Ripon and Knaresborough. For day trips, Whitby, Scarborough and the Lake District are in easy travelling distance as are Lightwater Valley, Harewood House, Fountains Abbey and Harrogate Conference Centre.
