Brompton Lakes is a stunning development of 20, luxury, log cabin style holiday lodges built around the shores of 2 private lakes on a breath-taking site in North Yorkshire. The site is surrounded by lush, green woodland and vast open countryside, making Brompton Lakes an idyllic country retreat.

The holiday lodges themselves have been constructed using the latest in ecological building technologies, while the interiors are individually styled by professional designers and furnished to a high specification, incorporating many modern luxuries such as flat screen TVs, audio systems and designer, contemporary wood burning stoves. All of our 3 bedroom lodges have wooden floors throughout, good-sized kitchen/dining areas with soft touch units and composite stone work surfaces and an open planning living space with flat-screen TV and audio system. A futuristic and eye-catching log burning heat storage stove forms the central point of the lounge area. The unusual rounded contours of the stove are more than just elegant design - the stove can be rotated to suit and can provide several hours of heat with the stone cladding of the stove acting like a thermal storage heater.

At Brompton Lakes we've strived to provide guests with the perfect balance of 'back to nature' log cabin style country accommodation with luxury, contemporary living. Every lodge has a large decked area, which provides a superb lakeside setting in which to relax, admire the scenery and maybe do a spot of angling. The two lakes are well stocked with coarse fish (mainly carp) and guests are very welcome to fish. We also have fishing rights on the River Swale and there is easy access to around ¾ mile of river bank where grayling, wild brownie, dace and perch can be caught.

The beauty of Brompton Lakes is that there is something for everyone, be they couples looking for a peaceful getaway or families with children; walking groups, cyclists and other outdoor types and, of course, angling enthusiasts. Use of the tennis court and of our range of mountain bikes is free and being at the heart of some of the most stunning countryside that Yorkshire has to offer there's plenty to see and do. We're also located just a few miles from the picturesque town of Richmond and within easy reach of a number of places of historic and natural interest.
