Carlton House is a very pleasant Victorian town house (built in 1897) which has been lovingly refurbished to provide an ideal place to stay for the tourist or business person. It’s close to the centre of the charming market town of Skipton, and just a half mile from the Castle - one of the best preserved medieval castles in the country.
Carlton House has five elegant and comfortable rooms, with double glazing and central heating. All have en suite facilities or a private bathroom. All rooms have a welcome tray, colour TV and fresh towels every day. There’s a very attractive dining room and we have an extensive menu to cater for vegetarian and special diets as well as a traditional, hearty, cooked Yorkshire breakfast.
Skipton has much to offer the visitor, with an open air market, canal path walks, cruises, the Embsay & Bolton Castle Steam Railway, and close proximity to the Yorkshire Dales for exciting walks and stunning scenery.
