The Castle by the Sea is a uniquely beautiful building which is now a quality B&B, family run by Janet and John. Tremendous effort has gone into restoring this building to its former glory through an extensive and ongoing refurbishment programme. With many historic features, such as the beautiful oak entrance door and dado rail which came from the vestry of St Anne's R.C. Cathedral in Leeds, this unique guest house fascinates those who visit.
The Castle by the Sea boasts a truly spectacular location, overlooking the sea, with the ancient ruins of Scarborough Castle towering above. Some bedrooms boast magnificent views of the sea, where guests can observe its changing moods. Those guests without sea view rooms can enjoy observing the changes from our conservatory, roof garden or lounge bar.
