Chainbridge Riverside Retreats - Whitby

Chainbridge Riverside Retreats are located in a beautiful, secluded spot on the river Esk at Ruswarp. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, with the North Yorkshire Moors National Park only a stones throw away. It’s only two miles to Whitby, a traditional fishing town which is famous for its fish and chips, and a 45 minute drive to York.

There are 7 different cottages, which sleep between 2 and 6 people. The Retreats are on private grounds, tucked away beside the river.

Wildlife is abundant, and you can watch the fish jump, feed ducks and swans, and maybe even catch sight of a kingfisher. Take time out to enjoy this relaxing lifestyle, where the only disturbance is the gentle sound of the steam train chugging past on the opposite bank.

For something a little livelier try mini golf, Mini Monsterz, canoeing or rowing, all of which can be done nearby. We have our own miniature railway!
