From the moment you arrive outside the Fauconberg Arms it’s impossible not to notice the picture perfect setting of this traditional, family-run Yorkshire country inn B&B. Charming, stone-built cottages line the street and the beautiful, striking village church stands proudly aloft just a little way up the hill. Occasional gaps between the buildings offer glimpses of the vast, rolling, green landscape of the North Yorkshire countryside beyond. It’s this idyllic setting that saw Coxwold voted 2nd place among Britain’s Best Villages on TV's ‘The Property List’, and why a visit to the Fauconberg Arms is a must, whether you’re looking for quality bed and breakfast accommodation in North Yorkshire, or a great place to eat out or relax with a drink after a day’s exploring.

With three double bedrooms and one twin room the Fauconberg Arms can provide B&B for everyone from couples seeking romantic short breaks, to families, or larger groups planning holidays cycling and walking in the North Yorkshire Moors. Superb Yorkshire bed & breakfast - top quality food & accommodation
In the morning guests can enjoy a good hearty breakfast, with a range of cereals, fresh fruit, toast and preserves all served up with fresh fruit juice, tea and coffee. Of course no Yorkshire breakfast is complete without a good full English, and the Fauconberg Arms offers a mouth-watering selection of fresh, locally sourced produce that’ll make you wish you were staying an extra night!
The Fauconberg is renowned for its quality food and attracts visitors from all over the region looking to sample the extensive menu. There are dishes to suit all tastes and appetites, from handmade burgers, fresh Whitby scampi and beer battered cod served with thick-cut, home made chips, to pan fried venison, succulent steaks and pork medallions flamed in Madeira. Fresh produce is delivered daily and Helen picks the herbs from the Fauconberg’s own herb garden. Add to that a selection of fine ales and a fantastic wine list with Simon’s own recommendations to accompany each dish and you’re in for a real treat.
Food can be enjoyed in the pleasant, relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant, or in the lively, welcoming bar with its flag stone floors and broad-beamed ceiling.
Cosy bar, large sun terrace and garden
Relaxing in the bar is a truly pleasurable experience. The striking stone hearth and large open log fire, which burns and crackles in the colder months, fill the room with a rich, warming aroma that makes you feel right at home. Many unique pieces of hand crafted furniture adorn the room adding a special charm and character that make this country inn B&B undoubtedly special.
Behind the inn, a large sun terrace patio provides the ideal place to sit and admire the stunning scenery of the North Yorkshire countryside. A bark pathway meanders gently down the long slope of the flourishing country garden, past the summer house and down to Helen’s herb garden, inviting guests to stroll down and take a seat on one of the garden benches and simply enjoy the outstanding views.
