The Garden House B&B provides traditional hospitality in a beautiful, peaceful setting, and is a great base from which to explore one of the oldest market towns in the country and the beautiful surrounding Yorkshire landscape.
George and Sue Furby welcome you to their lovely guest house, a distinctive ivy covered cottage with a heritage spanning two centuries. George and Sue have been in the hospitality business for nearly 20 years and know just how to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. You're guaranteed a warm reception and friendly service, and will be delighted with the home-baked cakes and bread that Sue serves with a nice cup of Yorkshire tea - perfect as you relax in the comfortable guest lounge, or in the pretty, well kept garden.
The three available guest rooms are all individually decorated and have a character of their own, with all the modern facilities needed for today's tourist to enjoy a stress-free stay, including wi-fi internet access so you can stay in touch with folks back home. Tastefully furnished and immaculately clean, these bedrooms are sure to provide you with a good night's sleep. Enjoy the lavish luxury of the king size room (if it wasn't for the fantastic full English breakfast, you wouldn't want to get out of bed in the morning!) and the new, modern en-suite facilities.
It's testament to George and Sue's care and attention to detail that they've made so many friends and enjoy regular repeat bookings. They're happy to advise you on things to do in the area and places to eat on an evening, which range from the local chip shop through to fine dining, all just a minute's walk from the B&B.
We are very happy to accept your family dog along too.
