Gaudy House Farm - Hawes
Gaudy House Farm is excellently located, having magnificent views of Wensleydale, looking down on Gayle and Hawes from its hillside position by the Pennine Way. It’s the perfect place to stay for people wishing to explore the fabulous Yorkshire Dales. Set in 25 acres of long established farmland Gaudy House Farm is a walker’s paradise. Peace and tranquillity can be expected as well as a relaxing, comfortable stay.
Close by, Hawes is an excellent stopping post for travellers; an interesting, unspoilt town with unique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The old village of Gayle is home to Gayle Mill (featured on the BBC Restoration programme).
The old barn and byres of the original farm have been tastefully converted into lovely, comfortable accommodation: ‘Duerley Barn’ (comprising 2 units: 'Upper Duerley' and 'Lower Duerley') and ‘Widdale’. All are very well equipped with home comforts.
