Gilling West is a peaceful, traditional Dales village in wonderful countryside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There is excellent walking and fishing all around and two pubs and a shop in the village. The market town of Richmond with its Georgian Theatre, museums and medieval castle overlooking the River Swale is just a few miles away and York, Harrogate, Ripon and Durham are also in easy travelling distance.
