Heatherdene used to be a vicarage and the clergy certainly knew how to choose their locations, as it is in the delightful village of Goathland, better known as Aidensfield in TV’s Heartbeat Country, in the heart of the renowned North York Moors.
It makes an ideal holiday location - peaceful, relaxing, comfortable, and with a warm, friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Step out of the front door and there are endless walks in beautiful moorland. The village itself is charming and hosts a station on the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway - with regular rides to Pickering or Grosmont, and sometimes to Whitby.
The accommodation is to a very high standard, and all rooms are en suite with colour TV and hospitality tray. Breakfast is served in the dining room and the cooked option is prepared on our Aga stove. All food is freshly prepared using only the best local produce.
