Welcome to Height Gate, a converted farmhouse and large attached barn with facilities to accommodate large groups, whether it be children’s youth organisations or larger groups of adult’s searching for a place to stay when exploring the rugged, enchanting Yorkshire Pennines.
Set high above the Calder Valley between Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, the centre has been revamped due to the funding of national sponsors and the tremendously hard efforts of The Woodcraft Folk.The centre is ideal for groups of up to thirty children and adults.
The fitted kitchen maintains a commercial 6-burner gas cooker, perfect for cooking vast portions of hearty home cooked food!
There are extensive areas of interest to visit for outdoor activities. Previously a thriving cotton/wool mill town, Hebden Bridge market town now attracts artists, craftsmen, musicians, photographers, writers and poets for an influential creative community. A wide variety of shops and restaurants mean guests will be constantly entertained.
