The cottage itself was once a working cow byre and has since been carefully transformed into a well equipped, comfortably furnished holiday cottage, which is lovingly maintained by the farm owners. The Byre provides a warm and comfortable base from which to explore the magnificent Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, as well as the rugged beauty of the East Coast.

Nearby facilities include a country pub, which lies within easy walking distance and the beautiful market town of Northallerton with its restaurants, shops, public swimming pool and pay-to-play golf course complete with driving range.
