Knavesmire Manor Hotel - York

Built in 1833 this beautiful Georgian manor house was once home to the Rowntree family. Its conversion into an elegant York hotel was conducted carefully, in order that many of the building's original period features were retained. The Knavesmire Manor Hotel is comfortable, elegant, and full of historical charm.

This family run hotel offers you a different experience to many of the larger chain hotel in York. You will receive a personal and friendly service from our staff, who are dedicated to ensuring that your stay is comfortable, enjoyable and relaxed.

The Knavesmire Manor Hotel offers a choice of different room styles. The Garden Rooms are south facing, contemporary, motel style rooms situated outside of the main hotel building at ground floor level. The rooms inside the main building cover three floors, are more traditional in style.

The hotel's location is ideal, with the historic walls which surround York's city centre only a short walk away.
