Recently renovated and refurbished to a very high standard, Lavender Cottage is a grade 2 listed cottage dating back to around 1834.
On the ground floor there is a comfortable sitting/dining area with beamed ceilings and an original cast iron fireplace and a well equipped kitchen area. Upstairs, the double bedroom has a romantic cast iron / brass bed and we include freshly laundered and pressed cotton bed linen, duvet and pillows.
Askrigg is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and is famous as the setting for the TV series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ based on the books of James Herriot. It is a former market town with fine 18th century houses, three pubs all serving great food, an excellent restaurant plus tea rooms, shop and post office.
Lavender cottage is set in a secluded spot in the middle of the village.
