Oaklands Holidays has three delightful unique holiday homes on offer, located on the banks of the charming River Esk. All three properties have been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and offer first class guest accommodation.
Glendene House is the largest of the three and can sleep up to 8 guests in it’s four double bedrooms, two of which have en suite facilities and there is also plenty of room for a couple of travel cots if required. Glendene House consists of a spacious living area complete with an open fire, a fully fitted dining kitchen which boasts spectacular views of the surrounding countryside out of it’s floor to ceiling windows and there is also a delightful house bathroom. There is plenty of private parking close to the house, behind secure wooden gates and there are stunning mature gardens which stretch right down to the river’s edge.
Eskbank Cottage consists of a double bedroom and another bedroom with bunk beds and a cosy living area with comfy sofas and a wood burning stove ideal for keeping you warm on the chilly winter evenings. There is a fully fitted kitchen and also a shower room. Eskbank Cottage has it’s own fully enclosed private garden and also a patio area complete with table and chairs as well as a bar-be-cue perfect for al fresco dining.
The Oaklands Caravan is a stunning static holiday caravan measuring 38 feet x 12 feet and has been finished to the highest standard. There is a delightful lounge area complete with colour TV and DVD player, a fully fitted kitchen with everything you may need whilst you are away. The master bedroom at The Caravan has en suite toilet facilities and there is a twin bedroom and shower room.
Here at Oaklands Holidays there is a outdoor play area for children complete with swings, slides and a tree top house. Why not have a peaceful stroll down to the river’s edge to catch a glimpse of the salmon jumping and the seals playing and don’t forget to feed our feathery friends the swans and the ducks.
These three delightful holiday homes are situated only 1½ miles from the quaint village of Ruswarp which is home to the miniature steam railway as well as a children’s play park. Only 5 minutes away is the historic fishing port of Whitby with it’s array of specialist shops, stunning cobbled streets and hidden alleyways, cafes, restaurant and the world famous 199 steps up to the Abbey.
