Poppy cottage is a delightful stone cottage tastefully refurbished and all on one level. Set in its own small garden with car park, it is double glazed and suitable for wheelchair users. The cottage has a cosy sitting room, kitchen and large shower room.
The small hamlet of Ellingstring is set in the glorious, unspoilt countryside of Wensleydale. The wonderful thing about Ellingstring is the peace and quiet and local wildlife. There are curlew, owls, deer, french partridge, black grouse, duck and pheasant. Although rural and tranquil Poppy Cottage is nicely situated for many local attractions and close to numerous tearooms and country pubs for eating out. Nearby Masham includes Uredale Glass, and Poppy Cottage is in walking distance of Jervaulx Abbey.
The owners also offer B&B at Hollybreen in the village.
