Sevenford House B&B - Rosedale Abbey, Pickering

Sevenford House is a lovely bed and breakfast set high on the hillside of Rosedale Abbey. Four acres of stunning gardens surround the house, and combine with the village below and the moorland which surrounds to offer guests magnificent views.

This charming Victorian house has characteristically high ceilings and the interior of the house is elegantly decorated, maintaining a country house appearance. There are 3 large, comfortable en suite guest bedrooms (1 family, 1 double and 1 twin), with fabulous views and all well equipped to ensure that you enjoy a pleasant stay.

In the morning you can sit down and enjoy a hearty breakfast while admiring the views of the gardens and rolling moors beyond. After breakfast you can take a stroll around the grounds taking in the beautiful scenery. You’ll find plenty of sunny spots and shady nooks in which to sit back, unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. There’s a summer house, sun loungers and several benches dotted around the grounds, but feel free to bring a blanket and find a perfect picnic spot.

The guest lounge provides an ideal place to relax after a day’s exploring. A small library of books is available, and in the winter you can curl up by the open coal fire. Free wi-fi is available so you can plan your activities or keep in touch with friends and family back home. There’s also a visitor information point containing plenty of information about things to see and do in the area.

Local area

Sevenford House's location is ideal for countryside lovers, as Rosedale lies in the very heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, and is therefore surrounded by a wealth of walks and cycle routes for you to explore. You’ll find walking routes for both easy and challenging walks at the visitor information point. The village of Rosedale is a 5 minute walk, as is the local pub which serves evening meals.
