The Buck Inn is in Chop Gate (pronounced Chop Yat) a small village on the western side of the beautiful North York Moors National Park. It is family-run and in turn is family-friendly, and there’s a children’s play area at the back.
It has a restaurant with excellent cuisine and an extensive wine list, and a more informal bar where bar meals and snacks can be eaten beside the log fire.
The Hotel staff take pride in providing a warm and friendly welcome, with the emphasis is on a caring and individual service. The hotel offers high standards of comfort and accommodation, and all rooms are en suite with colour TV, a hospitality tray, and central heating.
Nearby activities include walking, riding, and cycling across the moors, museums, stately homes, castles, the historic cities of York and Ripon, seaside resorts of Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay and the Yorkshire Dales - all within comfortable travelling distance.
