The Bull Inn is in a very favoured location next to the River Ure in the delightful village of West Tanfield. It has recently refurbished its accommodation and now has five comfortable en suite rooms. Jules, your friendly landlady, looks after all her guests in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Meals are available lunchtimes and evenings every day of the week during the summer holidays (not Tuesdays at other times), and all the food served at the Bull is freshly prepared, using locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible. Real ales and fine wines are served in the bar, and there is a dining room.
Outside the Inn, a beer garden overlooks the beautiful River Ure - one of the great rivers of Yorkshire. 100 yards from the Inn’s front door is the Marmion Tower - an impressive ancient monument next to a fine old church. The nearby Thornborough Henges are at least 4,500 years old, and Nosterfield Nature Reserve is only 2½ miles away.
