The Gallery is an attractive Grade II listed building, which has been carefully converted to offer quality Bed and Breakfast accommodation right in the centre of Thirsk, just a short 2 minute walk from the market square.

This family-run B&B retains many of the original features, such as the open fireplaces and wooden beamed ceilings that provide a warmth and charm guaranteed to make your stay an enjoyable one. The owners take great pride in using excellent Fair Trade and locally sourced produce for their hearty Yorkshire breakfasts.

The Gallery is ideally placed for all the local attractions. The World of James Herriot museum lies directly opposite and the nearby market place offers a wealth of shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs. Thirsk Racecourse is only a few minutes walk away. The Yorkshire Dales lie to the West and the North York Moors to the East. The beautiful spa town of Harrogate and the historic cities of York and Ripon are all within easy driving distance, and the dramatic Yorkshire coast and Whitby town can be reached in around an hour by car.

At The Gallery we want to ensure that our impact on the environment is kept to a minimum. As a symbol of our commitment we have joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme which provides accreditation and advice to tourism businesses. Our efforts have recently been rewarded by achieving a Gold Level in this scheme. By implementing as many sustainable practices as possible we hope to ensure the continual enjoyment of Yorkshire for generations to come.
