The Tom Bell Hostel is an excellent self catering hostel which was opened in 1986 and named after a local highwayman. It is owned by the Halifax District Scouts, who also own neighbouring hostel Halifax Hey. Whilst the two hostels are independent of each other, they do share a spectacularly beautiful location in the wooded valley above Hebden Bridge, as well as many fantastic amenities. The area is abundant in wildlife, and an ideal place to explore, and on site activities include a 32' boulder wall and an obstacle course, as well as an activities field which can be used for sports and games.
Accommodation in Tom Bell Hostel is divided into 5 bedrooms with bunk beds sleeping 10, 10, 4, 4 and 2 people respectively. There is a communal room containing tables and chairs, which can be used for eating, relaxing etc, and a well equipped kitchen.
