York House Caravan Park - Hawsker

York House Caravan Park is set in the idyllic village of Hawsker, near Whitby, amidst the stunning countryside of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Its perfect location makes York House Caravan Park an ideal base, whether you enjoy active pursuits such as cycling or challenging walks, more gentle activities such as taking a stroll in the surrounding countryside, or simply kicking back and doing nothing.

York House Caravan Park is a family run caravan and camping park, where you are guaranteed a warm welcome. The site is clean, well managed and well equipped. Most of the pitches are level and generous in size. The majority have electric hook-ups, and many have hard standing. Subdued lighting enables you to navigate your way to and from your tent or caravan in the dark.

There is an on-site shop which sells gas, basic food supplies such as milk and sweets, and newspapers. It also acts as a tourist information centre, from which you can collect information leaflets about activities and attractions in the local area.

The toilet and shower blocks have just been refurbished and are well lit and spacious. We ensure that our toilets and showers are kept clean, and you will not have to pay for hot water.

There are many lovely coastal towns and villages within easy reach of York House Caravan Park. The picturesque coastal village of Robin Hoods Bay is only two miles from the park and is known for its narrow streets which can only be accessed by foot. The town has an interesting history as the 16th Century fishing capital of the North East, where contraband was so rife that, rumour has it, goods could be transported away from the shoreline through passages under the houses.

The popular seaside town of Whitby is only three miles away, and is a favourite for fish and chips lovers. It is full of small, interesting shops selling trinkets and jewellery made using Whitby jet.
