Have you ever visited the charming town of Hawes in the North Yorkshire dales? Whether you’re a first time tourist or have long been a fan of this charming little town, you won’t want to miss out on this exciting free Hawes town trail.
Hawes town trail
On the Hawes town trail, you’ll walk with experienced Dales volunteers and learn all sorts of fascinating details about the town and local area. Your route takes you approximately 2.5 miles around Hawes and the neighbouring Gayle.
You’ll learn all about the history of Wensleydale cheese, see where the railway line once cut through the landscape, and walk a small section of the Pennine Way.
It’s sure to be a great afternoon activity for visitors of all ages. Plus, it’s completely free, though of course you’re very welcome to leave a donation if you would like to.
