Harrogate Comedy Festival

Get the autumn off to a fun start by heading over to some of the brilliant events at the Harrogate Comedy Festival. 56 comedians will be performing over 27 shows for you to enjoy. Big names include John Bishop, James Acaster, and Jimmy Carr.

Scarborough Surf Festival

Come along to the Scarborough Surf Festival in Scarborough’s North Bay for free activities all day. No surfing experience is necessary as you’ll get lots of support and advice from the surfing experts.

There will also be lots of food and drink stalls, information about the sea and environmental challenges, and competitions and discounts from Alpamare Water Park. Plus, after dark, you can enjoy bars, live music and stay warm by the fire pit.

Masham Sheep Fair

The Masham Sheep Fair has been running for 30 years and is a fantastic way for the community to celebrate their agricultural heritage and raise money for local charities. The town is full of sheep themed entertainment all weekend for the whole family to enjoy together.

Railway in Wartime

Come along to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s three day Railway in Wartime event. Ride on steam and heritage trains and travel along the line, experiencing the spirit and camaraderie of WWII. Each station along the way will be transformed and hosting its own special remembrance of the war.

Whitby Blues Festival

Pumpkin Picking at Thornton Hall

Musicport

Hear some fantastic music from all over the world at the 20th Musicport Festival in Whitby. There are concerts and open mic sessions that give some incredible performances that you’ll remember forever. You can also enjoy – and purchase! – works of art and crafts from local creators.

Enchanted Wood Halloween Trail

Head over to the stunning Aysgarth Falls and help the witches that live in Freeholders Woods to find their stolen frogs. This event is perfect for families as you have to work together to solve the scavenger hunt and save the witches!
