Burton Constable dates back to the 15th Century and has a long extensive building history formerly a brick manor house built on the site of an old pele tower which was demolished and the stone used in the foundations of the north tower. Later part of the manor house was torn down and transformed into a large Elizabethan Mansion, which is what you see today.

Come and explore the house in its grand splendour with over 30 rooms to discover detailing the history of the house and Constable Family. Take a stroll around the stunning gardens, play croquet and giant garden games on the Orangery Lawn. Borrow a Parkland Experience Pack for your walk around the parkland which will help you get the most of your walk with its binoculars, bug collector, map and magnifying glass. Finish off your visit with a trip to the Tea Room for a refreshing cup of tea and slice of delicious cake.
