Thornsgill House was built in 1907 and is located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the beautiful village of Askrigg (which was the location for the TV series All Creatures Great and Small about James Herriot). In typical Edwardian style, this stone built house is spacious and airy with large windows and enjoys delightful views of the village (a conservation area) and up the moor road to Ellerkin Scar - a majestic cliff overlooking Wensleydale.
On arrival guests are warmly greeted with refreshments served in our guest lounge.
All rooms are furnished to a high degree of comfort. Two have a king-size double bed and a single - allowing the versatility of sleeping one, two or three people - and have an en suite shower. The third room, a king-size double, has an en suite bathroom.
Askrigg village has some lovely pubs, a restaurant and a variety of shops.
Packed lunches: £5 per person
