Created by one man, Colonel Sir Leonard Ropner (1895-1977) the Arboretum is still family owned and managed by his son, Sir John Ropner Bt.

At the Bird of Prey and Captive Breeding Centre learn about our birds of prey and associated wildlife. See owls and falcons born through our successful breeding programme during spring. Witness the breathtaking ability of our eagles, owls, hawks, vultures and falcons at our flying demonstrations - held twice daily (weather permitting).
